Care & warranty
Look after
what you love.
Not sure when to wash your car or what to do about a lifting edge? Start here, and follow the care instructions for your film or coating.
Before your appointment
Before dropping off your car, confirm the work and collection time with us. Tell us about old film, coatings, repainted panels or damage. Ask whether the car needs washing beforehand; you do not need to attempt unfamiliar preparation yourself.
Window tint
Wait until the date we give you before opening tinted windows or cleaning them. Use a soft cloth and a cleaner approved for your film. If an edge lifts or a bubble stays after drying, send us a photo before trying to fix it.
Paint protection film
Follow the waiting period before your first wash. Keep pressure-washer jets away from the film edges and use cleaners approved for your PPF. If film lifts or gets damaged, contact us before picking at it or attempting a repair.
Ceramic coating
Follow the first-wash date and care instructions we give you when you collect the car. Use cleaners recommended for your coating, and check whether its warranty requires inspections or maintenance.
Your two-week installation check
Contact the studio to arrange a check within the first two weeks after your installation. Bring any questions about curing, edges or appearance. We’ll explain the timing and care instructions when you collect your car.
What happens to PPF or tint after a repair?
Tell the repairer which panels or windows have film or coating. Keep your installation invoice and photos, and ask your insurer whether replacement protection is included in your claim. We can quote the work once the repair and surface condition are clear. Get a quote.
What does the XPEL warranty cover?
XPEL’s ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH PPF limited warranty lasts ten years and covers specified manufacturing defects, including yellowing, cracking, blistering and delamination. PRIME automotive window film has limited coverage for the life of the vehicle. Coverage depends on proper installation, use and care.
FUSION PLUS terms differ by coating. Check the exact name on your invoice before choosing its warranty document. Windshield protection film also needs its own product-specific terms; it does not inherit the paint protection film warranty.
Read XPEL’s product warranties and claim instructions. Keep the installation receipt and warranty record. Contact us with photos and a description of the issue so we can help identify the next step.
What if there is a problem with the installation?
Our workmanship coverage is for installation faults. It does not cover customer misuse or damage caused by unsuitable cleaning. Tell us about lifting edges, trapped dirt or another concern before attempting a repair yourself. Ask for the written workmanship terms and care instructions for your installation.
Your care instructions and warranty
Keep your invoice, product names, care instructions and written warranty together. Check whether registration or regular maintenance is required. If something looks wrong, contact us with a photo and the installation date.
Each film or coating has its own warranty. Check the written terms for covered defects, exclusions and how to make a claim. Manufacturer coverage and our installation workmanship coverage are separate.
