Window tint · Colorado Springs

Window tint for your BMW.

Tell us which BMW you drive and whether the rear glass already has a darker factory appearance. We’ll discuss the windows you want treated, daytime glare and nighttime visibility. Choosing a darker shade is separate from choosing the film’s heat performance.

How it works

What is window tint?

Window tint is a thin film fitted to the inside of your car’s glass. It reduces the light and solar heat coming through and can add daytime privacy. Ceramic window tint uses ceramic particles in the film to reduce heat without relying only on a dark shade.

How window tint sits against the glass

Window tint is applied to the cabin side of the glass. The selected film and the vehicle’s existing glass affect light, UV and solar-heat performance.

Cross-section: sunlight reaches the glass; an adhesive layer holds ceramic tint film to the cabin side.

What happens during installation?

  1. Choose the film and shade

We look at your glass, how you drive and which windows you want treated. Film technology affects heat performance; shade affects how much visible light passes through.

  2. Fit the film to the glass

The glass is cleaned, the film is shaped and positioned, and application solution is squeezed out. Curved rear windows require careful fitting around their shape and defroster lines.

  3. Let the installation dry

Remaining moisture needs time to evaporate. Follow the instructions for rolling down windows and the first clean; drying time varies with the film and weather.

What are the benefits?

Comfort without losing your view

We install XPEL PRIME XR Plus ceramic window tint. Tell us which windows get too hot, where glare bothers you and how you drive at night. We will help you compare the available film and shade options.

What would you like to change?

Reduce solar heat and glare for a more comfortable cabin. Tell us which windows let in the most heat or glare on your usual drives. UV-filtering films can help reduce UV exposure to upholstery and interior surfaces. Performance varies by film and glass; tint does not prevent every form of fading. Choose a shade you like without making it hard to see after dark. Tint can add daytime privacy, but it does not prevent theft.

Window tint: questions and answers

How much does window tint cost in Colorado Springs?

Window tint prices depend on your car, the film you choose and how many windows you want tinted. Removing old film adds work, too. Send us your year, make and model, plus the windows you have in mind, for a quote.

Will I be able to see through tinted windows at night?

Darker tint lets in less visible light, which can make night driving harder. Tell us if you often drive on unlit roads or struggle with nighttime visibility. You can choose ceramic window tint for heat reduction without choosing the darkest shade.

Is factory privacy glass the same as window tint?

No. Factory privacy glass gets its dark appearance from the glass itself. Aftermarket window film is an extra layer. Dark glass alone does not tell you how much solar heat or UV it blocks.

What window tint is legal in Colorado?

Check Colorado window tint laws before choosing a shade. The rules depend on which windows you want tinted, and the glass already in your car affects the final light transmission. The number on a film sample is not the finished window’s legal rating.

Can you remove old window tint?

Peeling, bubbling or faded window tint needs a closer look before replacement. Send us photos with your quote request. Rear-window defroster lines need particular care during tint removal.

What’s the difference between ceramic tint and ceramic coating?

Ceramic tint is window film. It helps reduce heat and glare through the glass. Ceramic coating goes on paint or other suitable surfaces to make cleaning easier. They are separate services.

Does darker window tint block more heat?

Not always. A film’s heat rejection depends on its construction, not just its shade. Ceramic tint can reduce solar heat while letting more visible light through than a darker basic film. Compare the exact products and shades.

Does window tint go on the inside or outside?

On the inside of the glass. An installer may shape the film on the outside first, then move it inside to fit it. Windshield protection film is different: that goes on the outside.

Can I add ceramic tint to factory-darkened windows?

Sometimes, yes. We need to check the glass and the film together. Adding film makes the window darker, so heat reduction, visibility and legal limits all need to be considered.

Can you tint my windshield or glass roof?

Send us the model and year, and tell us which glass you want tinted. Windshields and glass roofs need their own product and vehicle checks. Windshield tint also has different legal restrictions from side-window tint.

When can I roll my windows down after tinting?

Wait until the date your installer gives you. The film needs time to dry against the glass, and opening the window too soon can disturb an edge. Weather and the film used affect that wait.

Why does my new tint look hazy or have small water pockets?

Moisture can remain between the glass and film while a new installation dries. It should clear as the film dries. Send us a photo if a bubble stays, an edge lifts or something looks wrong; don’t poke or press it.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Wait until the film is ready for its first clean. Then use a clean, soft cloth and a cleaner approved for your window film. Avoid abrasive pads and blades on the tinted side.

Will tint keep a parked car safe for children or pets?

No. A tinted car can still get dangerously hot. Never leave children or pets unattended inside.

Does window tint stop break-ins?

No. Tint can make it harder to see into the car in some lighting, but it does not prevent theft. Keep valuables out of sight.

How long does window tint installation take?

It depends on the number of windows, their shape and whether old tint needs removing. A curved rear window can take more work than a side window. Send your vehicle details so we can give you a realistic drop-off and collection plan.

Ceramic vs. carbon tint: which should I choose?

Compare heat rejection, visibility and the price of the actual films. We install XPEL PRIME XR Plus ceramic window film. If you are also considering carbon tint from another shop, compare the exact film and shade in each quote.

How do I get a quote and book?

Send us your car’s year, make and model and tell us what you’d like done. Photos help if there’s old film or paint damage. We’ll work out the price and available dates with you before booking; sending the form does not book an appointment.

What’s included in my quote, and what does the warranty cover?

Your quote should list the product, windows or panels covered, preparation, price and expected timing. Warranty coverage depends on the product and is separate from installation workmanship. Ask us for the written terms for your installation, including exclusions, registration and how to make a claim.
